Prior to painting the exterior of O’Dea High School Gym it was dirty grey concrete. While cleaning the building we treated the concrete with a pre-wash to help remove the dirt and mildew from the years of build-up. Once the concrete was sufficiently dried we applied a masonry primer to all the surfaces of the building and followed it up with two coats of paint. Each coat of paint was applied with an Airless paint sprayer and bankrolled to ensure uniformity. We also applied a Graffiti resistant coating around the entire building. If the building does get hit with graffiti it just washes off! In addition to painting the exterior gym we painted approximately 45 metal doors and jambs to complete the full transformation. This project took approximate 3 weeks to complete.
